The delegate of the Government and the Mayor of Santomera inaugurated the new sports facilities Santomera (10/05/2010)

The State Fund of 2009 has created 174 jobs in Santomera

For 2010 Santomera has submitted 16 projects amounting to EUR 1.6 million

The government delegate in the Region of Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, and the mayor of Santomera, José María Sánchez Arts, inaugurated the new sports facilities in this town funded entirely by the Local Investment Fund.

González Tovar explained that in the same area of sport and leisure, the Government of Spain has financed three performances that have a budget of 834,882 euros and have involved the creation of 50 jobs, of which 29 are new building and 21 persons within the successful tenderers.

Thanks to the State Fund of 2009, has undertaken the construction of an annexe to Municipal rectangular pool that contains two spacious, one of them for reception and waiting room and another bar, and a the toilet area and outside access.

It has also built a pergola that will also serve as a zone of expansion.

This work has had an amount of 445,440 euros and has created 30 jobs.

Also in this same area of sports facilities have been built some new clothes for sports courts and a gym.

In this case, we have built a new pavilion with a reception area and control, from which have been built new dressing rooms, toilet cubicles and wheelchair accessible showers and toilets.

The new building has a storage and server spaces required by law for this type of installation.

The amount of this action is of 166,900 euros and has allowed the creation of 6 new jobs.

Finally, the delegate and the mayor have also opened three new tracks and new track paddle sports.

The paddle have metal cladding and glass and pavement of artificial turf, while the arena is asphalt with synthetic sports flooring.

Has completed the work with painting and marking of runways, drainage, sports equipment (nets, goals, etc.) And the installation of street lighting columns 10 meters and 400-watt floodlights.

In this case, the whole amount is EUR 222,541 and created 14 jobs.

Tovar González highlighted the significant investment in this area of sports and leisure equipment Santomera that account from now with new sports facilities, changing rooms and cafeteria.

"Ultimately, the delegate noted a significant investment to improve the quality of these social facilities such importance in this locality."

She also pointed out that these three actions will be complemented in 2010 with a new Sports and Education Centre which will involve new investment of the Government of Spain through the State Fund for 2010 and will cost over 600,000 euros.

Santomera running 17 projects under the Local Investment Fund, 2009, for a total of 2.5 million euros and a creation of 174 jobs, of which 90 are newly created jobs and 84 integrated in the successful tenderers.

With regard to the State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability, to be held in 2010, the City of Santomera has submitted 16 projects for an investment of 1.6 billion euros.

Of these, 5 are of investment in new municipal works, they intend to create 61 new jobs and spending programs, 11 social nature.

"In tota, l Santomera the Government of Spain receives more than 4.1 million in just two years: the largest investment in this county by any government in such a short time and which clearly reflects the will of President Zapatero municipalist" said the delegate of the Government.

2009 State Fund invests over 30 million in new sports facilities

The Government delegate stressed that the Local Investment Fund 2009 has allowed the significant improvement of sports facilities in the Region of Murcia.

In particular, he recalled, in the region are carrying out 86 projects with an investment of 30,811,419 euros to create 2,129 jobs, of which 1,391 are newly created and 738 of persons within enterprises.

Among the projects cited González Tovar's new Sports Hall of Cieza (2,462,971 euros), the new indoor heated pool Lorca (2,037,551 euros), the new Sports Centre in Cartagena Aljorra (1,696,680 euros) the new Sports Hall at the College Campoamor Sewer (1,364,160 euros) and improvement works Beniel Sports Complex (1 million euros).

He also stressed that thanks to the State Fund to install artificial turf football fields in 22 municipalities for a total of more than 8.6 million euros.

The delegate said that "sport is a human activity that strengthens our social, educational and cultural as well as being a factor for integration, participation in social life, tolerance, acceptance of differences and respect for standards, but also "added" the State Fund's investments 2009 we have demonstrated that it creates jobs, both during the execution of the works, and afterwards, to keep open sports facilities available to all people. More than 400 million euros over two years for the Region of Murcia

The municipalities of the Region of Murcia has developed 672 projects under the State Fund of 2009, with a total investment of 246.3 million euros and a generation of 13,200 jobs.

In relation to the new Fund, 2010, the consistory of the Region of Murcia has submitted 729 projects, of which 588 and 141 correspond to investment to current expenditure of a social nature.

The total budget of the Autonomous Region amounted to 154.1 million euros, so that in just two years the 45 municipalities have been able to finance activities for a total of 400.5 million euros thanks to two state funds.

"A major effort of the Government of Spain in the Murcia region to stimulate the economy, create jobs and improve our towns and cities in a time of economic difficulty in which the government must be an example of effective management," said the delegate .

González Tovar reported that as of today, the Government of Spain has already paid more than 225 million euros to assume the full amount of 585 works from the State Fund, 2009.

In addition, explained that the municipalities in the region have also received the first 3.5 million from the State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability 2010.

With that amount, has made the first payment (85% of the total) for the initiation of 65 projects in this region.
